Boarding
NEW! Now offering "interactive boarding"! The daily rate is $25.00 and each dog is taken out for a minimum of 15 minutes daily for individual attention. Our staff can play ball, go for a walk (on-leash only for non-Total Recall graduates), teach/brush-up simple obedience commands such as sit, down and heel or just sit in the shade with your dog. Interactive boarding will get your dog out of his/her run every day and offer an opportunity to roll in the grass, chase a ball or simply enjoy a nice ear scratch while relaxing with a friendly human. You must request interactive boarding when you make your reservation. Total Recall graduates are automatically enrolled into interactive boarding, at our standard boarding rate (($15/day - no extra charge!) for the lifetime of their dog! We accept limited boarding reservations throughout the year. Boarding space may be severely restricted due to a full training schedule, so be sure to contact us well in advance of your planned trip. All dogs are housed in individual, covered indoor/outdoor runs. inside dimensions are 4' x 4'; connected outside kennels are 4' x 8' for a full length of 12 ft. We do not double up dogs, even from the same family, unless they are small enough to share the run space without crowding. Many dogs who are inseparable in a 2,000 sq. ft home will be miserable in a 16 sq ft space for a weekend. Imagine living in your bathroom with your significant other for a weekend!
Bedding and limited toys (please don't bring the entire toy box! Most dogs play with only one or two toys at the most) are allowed, and you may either provide your own food (if so, it must be in a sealable MARKED container, and you must provide enough for your dog's entire stay) or we can provide our in-house diet. We do not guarantee return of any items provided, and we do not have laundry facilities, so all bedding and toys will be returned to you AS IS. Our standard boarding fee is $15.00/day/dog; interactive boarding is $25./day/dog, and is calculated like a hotel bill: you will be charged by the night. Example - your dog arrives on Friday morning and departs on Wed afternoon. The total fee would be for 5 days. We are CLOSED on Sundays and major holidays. Dogs arriving or departing from the kennel after hours (Sunday/holiday or before/after hours) will be charged a $35.00/dog convenience fee. For example, if you drop your dog off on a Friday afternoon and pick-up on a Sunday afternoon, your bill will be calculated as follows: Friday/Saturday x $15.00/day = $30.00 The Sunday convenience fee ($35.00) is then added for a Sunday pick-up, making your bill a total of $65.00. This applies PER DOG boarded, and is added regardless of the time of day. If you would like to brush your dog up on some basic obedience work during their stay, we also offer day training at an additional $15.00/day ($30./day total). Your dog will get personal outside time with one of our trainers at least once daily. During this time, your dog will be worked on the commands of heel, sit, stay, down and come (here) to maintain any training that you have already done with your dog. For those dogs who are "green" (little to no previous training), please don't expect us to work miracles! Daily training is done using balanced methods; positive reinforcement as well as light correction with collar and leash. There are no extra charges for dispensing medication, but you must provide enough meds to last the entire stay. Medication instructions must be in writing. NEW! Now offering "interactive boarding"! Intact dogs and bitches are welcome, as are so-called "difficult" breeds, such as bull breeds, rottweilers, German shepherd dogs, etc. We are equipped to deal with aggressive dogs; all we ask is that you inform us that your dog is aggressive so we can respond appropriately. Intact dogs and bitches are also welcome - we can board your in-season bitch and save you the headaches of supervising her for 3 weeks! Boarding dogs are accepted by appointment ONLY. We are frequently away from the main buildings while training, and unannounced visits may result in missing us. No drop-offs or pick-ups before 8 am or after 6 pm. This policy is for the comfort of our dogs, so please respect their sense of routine. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays. Any arrivals or departures made during closed hours will incur an additional $35.00 convenience charge added to your total bill. If you wish your dog to be bathed prior to departure, you must request this at least by the drop-off date. Short-haired dogs (Dobermans, Labs, etc) are $15.00, medium-haired breeds (goldens, German shepherds, etc) are $20.00 and long-haired breeds (poodles, collies, etc) are $30.00. We do NOT guarantee dogs to be mat-free following bathing. De-matting is available ONLY as time allows and is billed at $20./hour for actual time spent.
